OpenAI intends to release tools to further customize ChatGPT OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said Thursday that the company will release tools to give users more control over a generative AI system, while optimizing models for both general and specific use cases. Speaking to investors at the Morgan Stanley conference, Altman said the AI company will focus on building a platform that sells APIs to others and builds powerful applications, such as the ChatGPT intelligent chatbot. Since its launch last November, the popularity of GBT Chat has skyrocketed, with more than 1 billion visits to the site in February, up from 616 million visits in January.
