In February, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines, causing more than 20 deaths and over 200 injuries. In June, an 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck Mexico, causing over 200 deaths and over 1,000 injuries. In July, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia, causing more than 200 deaths and more than 1,000 injuries.
In August, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck Croatia, causing more than 80 deaths and more than 700 injuries. Additionally, in December, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey, causing more than 70 deaths and more than 1,000 injuries.
All of these earthquakes caused significant damage and losses, and those affected often required surgery for their injuries.

In August, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Japan, causing more than 100 deaths and more than 900 injuries. Additionally, in December, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck New Zealand, causing over 2,000 injuries and more than 200 deaths.

Earthquakes In 2023
As of February 14, 2023, there have been no major earthquakes in 2023. However, there have been a few minor earthquakes in the area surrounding New Zealand, Japan, and the Philippines. These earthquakes have ranged from 2.0 to 3.9 in magnitude and have caused little or no damage.
